YAY for the weekend!!!

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!

Holy Moly I wasn't sure it would ever come! This has been the absolute longest week EVER!! Not so much a bad week so to speak...just seemed really long! I was trying to make Wednesday into Friday if that tells you anything! I wonder if the fact that I am going to my sister's in two weeks has anything to do with it....LOL! I am counting down the days! 10 working days...fourteen regular days including the weekends. :) But who is counting? HA!

So...vulnerability is the thought for the day....I know I know...where do you come up with this stuff? OR better yet...you need to turn off your brain! LOL! No seriously....I have been watching a child in my classroom through the year, we have had our ups and downs, but one thing remains....the need to be dominate. This child always has to have the last word in, tries to intimidate others(and is very good at it) and just geniunally(up until recently) has found satisifcation in the fact that people may "fear" them. This child is the typical "I don't need anyone" type kid. Well, as of late I have been seeing a real change in my student. They have, through the grace of my precious God, have begun to soften their heart. Today, this child was not feeling well at all....and they ended up making my sleeve wet from the tears after laying on my shoulder waiting to go home. It really got me thinking....even the "toughest" people have a weak time and a time when they need someone. At that point I just wanted to take them to my house put them in bed and play soft music for them to sleep to.  I prayed them home and hope all is well at home now and they are sleeping the bed!  It was just so symbolic of how even the "toughest" of people can be broken down. Which brings me to think about how that into being an adult. We all have our points of vulnerability. If I had to say..."I am most vulnerable when..." I thnk it would have to be when I have had a rough day and am down on myself. I think that is the point where I can be broken down the easiest.  I think its important to know those points so that you can be guarded when those times come. :) Some may agree or disagree but thats how I feel!

On a much lighter note...I am getting my hair cut SUNDAY!!! I am so stoked!! It has been driving me nuts and I am trying a new lady. The sister in law seems to like her so I trust her judgment!  She is picky about her hair like I am. NOW the great debate cut it off or leave it long!?! hum...time will tell! :)

I hope Friday finds you well! XO!
